I've turned people around with this recipe. Naysayers who claimed they didn't like brussel sprouts and now want me to make it all the time.
It's the cheese and the bacon, not the cook. HA!
My recipe alters a little from Simply Scratch. I use more bacon and more cheese.

8 slices of bacon, cooked and chopped up.
I don't boil my sprouts like the original recipe. I take out most of the bacon fat then throw my sprouts and shallots in the skillet and cook till 1/2 way softened.
