What's more comforting on a rainy, chilly day than breakfast for dinner?!
Pancakes with chopped walnuts...
The family was happy! I was happy!
It was the perfect type of meal since my step-daughter and I got up very early this morning and headed to The Walk for The Wounded.
It's run by Operation First Response and it was their 10th year at Rose Tree Park in Media, PA.
They raise money and help support our troops starting with a wounded or injured Service Member who may receive a backpack filled with a new set of clothing, travel size hygiene products, a handmade blanket and a phone card to ensure they have needed items until they return stateside.
Families contact Operation First Response to obtain help for their wounded.
The financial aid they provide helps our Soldiers with rent, mortgage payments, vehicle payments and repairs, groceries, clothing, and many other aspects of care.
It's a great organization and if I can't always make the events, I make sure to donate online. Click here to donate
Ukee Washington from Channel 10 was there to help with the festivities.
We were entertained by the Interboro School District Marching Band.
There were skydivers...
All in all, a great event to give back to our soldiers that give of themselves everyday.
