Oh my! I'm in love with this sandwich. It's a total love affair!! This is my favorite sandwich to get when we are out but I wanted to make it fit into my new lifestyle plan. So I sat down to re-create it and it turned out to be awesome!
First I made the bagels. This recipe is from Skinnytaste.com and you can find it HERE.
I kept one bagel out for my breakfast and the rest I sliced, wrapped and froze for future breakfasts.
Then I made the turkey sausage which is also from Skinnytaste.com and you can find the recipe HERE. However, I made mine with Jennie-O 99% fat free turkey so it was 0 points.
I kept one sausage patty out and froze the rest for future as well.
So this morning, it was quite easy to toss the bagel in the toaster, nuke the sausage patty and fry up two eggs. SWOON!
I spread one wedge of Asiago Laughing cow cheese on the bagel as well. All this for 4 points, yes 4!, on the Weight Watchers Freestyle program.
Note: If you don't want to go to the trouble of making your own bagels, I get it! You can use Thomas Bagel Thins for the same 3 pts as these bagels.
